One Piece NatsuComi 2026 Promo Card: An Exclusive Collector's Hit

• Japan-exclusive promo: the card belongs to the 2026 NatsuComi summer campaign and was only handed out in Japan.
• Summer motif: the illustration shows Monkey D. Luffy with watermelons, matching the campaign's summer theme.
• Limited availability: only available through participating bookstores and shops during the campaign period.
• Popular with collectors: outside Japan, the card can only be found on the secondary market.

Alongside its regular sets, the One Piece Card Game regularly features promo cards that are only available for a short time and in specific places. One of them is the One Piece NatsuComi 2026 Promo Card. We explain what's behind the campaign, how the card was distributed and what to look out for if you want to buy it.

Also known as "Natsucomi" or "Natsu Comi"

Collectors search for the card under different spellings: NatsuComi, Natsucomi Promo or Natsu Comi 2026. They all mean the same campaign. Important: NatsuComi (ナツコミ) is a summer manga campaign run by the publisher Shueisha in bookstores. It is not the same as Comiket, the large doujinshi convention in Tokyo.

What is the NatsuComi campaign?

Every summer, Shueisha promotes its manga in Japanese bookstores with NatsuComi. Participating shops offer bonuses and extras during the campaign period. In 2026 this included a promo card for the One Piece Card Game. As usual with such campaigns, the card came with conditions, for example buying certain products, and only while stocks lasted.

The illustration: Luffy with watermelons

The artwork shows Monkey D. Luffy in a summery scene with watermelons. In Japan, watermelons are a typical symbol of summer, so the image fits the character of the campaign. Event artwork like this, which doesn't appear in any regular booster, is exactly what makes promo cards interesting for collectors.

Why is the card interesting for collectors?

• Only distributed in Japan: there is no official way to get the card outside Japan.
• Time-limited: it is no longer handed out after the campaign period.
• Unique artwork: the illustration only exists on this promo.

How the price develops depends mainly on demand and condition. No card comes with a guaranteed increase in value.

Buying tips

• Check authenticity: buy from known dealers or on platforms with buyer protection. Ask for high-resolution photos of the front and back.
• Check condition: corners, edges and surface determine the value. For expensive copies, a graded card is worth considering.
• Store it properly: a sleeve plus a toploader or card saver protects the card long-term.

What are promo cards?

Promo cards are distributed outside the normal sets: at tournaments, pre-release events, as magazine inserts or through campaigns like NatsuComi. Their value depends on print run, how they were distributed, artwork, playability and condition. Widely distributed promos are often cheap, while rare event promos can reach much higher prices.
